With the necessary restoration of the flooring, the use of the central area, which was parquet for the game of basketball and hockey, has been modified, creating in its place a new six-lane linear track, which is added to the oval with the aim of making the building an important reference point for athletics.
The project involved the construction of new special and approved synthetic sports floors.
On this occasion, some restoration works were also carried out inside the changing rooms and the thermal power plant.
