The centre is equipped, in addition to the track, with a lighting system with 4 light towers, a covered grandstand with a thousand seats, changing room and services dedicated to athletes, weight and muscle room, covered straight for training, bar and services for the public.
In 2019 the Municipal Administration decided to intervene in order to carry out a remake of the surface of the track, which has now reached its natural end of use.

The surface used to finish the track consists of two layers.
The first support layer in prefabricated fabric made in the factory with a constant thickness of 10 mm consists of selected SBR rubber fibres and granules, mixed and joined with a single-component polyurethane binder containing no heavy metals.
The roll is glued to the bituminous substrate using a two-component polyurethane adhesive.
The final surface layer with a nominal thickness of 4 mm is applied by trowel application of a two-component polyurethane skim coat and the subsequent application of a continuous, nail-resistant, self-levelling polyurethane coating applied in the liquid state.

The surface finish is carried out by manual sowing of coloured EPDM rubber granules. The final colouring has been made in blue and grey in order to highlight the chases of extension jumps, pole and javelin throw.
During the course of the work, work was also carried out on the natural grass central field, which was completely redone in order to ensure that the launching competitions were carried out correctly.
The result is a beautiful sight and a state-of-the-art facility intended for basic activities, as well as for hosting events of the highest level.
