The Golden Goose Arena powered by Atlante, a project created on behalf of SmartCityLife, a company that manages and innovates the public areas of CityLife Milan, following an invitational competition, is located within one of the largest architectural parks in Europe, surrounded by works signed by masters such as Mario Bellini, Zaha Hadid Architects, Studio Libeskind, Arata Isozaki & Associates, and Bjarke Ingels Group.

In such a dense and articulated panorama, the objective of Novembre Studio was not so much to pursue a formal concept, as to find a balance by visually integrating the architecture into the landscape, respecting the view of the park from the Fair, and working with a fluid form, capable of communicating with the stylistic heterogeneity of the context.

The Arena was built right next to the CityWave building, responding to the recognizable curve of BIG’s design with a mirror tilt. The entrance to the building was raised, generating a dialogue between the two architectures, almost a dance – a symbolic portal that introduces CityLife from the northeast, a formal yet urban gesture that connects and orients.

With its 12 meters of height and a total surface area of 2,800 m2, the Golden Goose Arena presents itself as a welcoming architectural gesture, characterized by an imposing curved overhang of 17 meters, which naturally invites the public to enter.

Public in nature and accessible to all, the Golden Goose Arena promotes a healthy and inclusive lifestyle, integrating perfectly with the urban and landscape design of CityLife in Milan. Inserted in the heart of a park of 178,000 m2 and over 2,000 trees, it becomes a new urban garrison and a meeting place intended to host sporting, cultural, and social events open to citizens.

Made of polycarbonate, the structure transforms in the evening into a luminous lantern in the CityLife park, a symbol of energy and community. Indoor comfort is guaranteed by a radiant underfloor heating system, with a focus on energy efficiency, while the photovoltaic roof contributes to the production of renewable energy, in line with the sustainability principles that guide the project that is part of the energy park developed at CityLife by the Atlante company.

The facility hosts nine padel courts, including six premium indoor total black courts, an immersive Pro Court equipped with tracking cameras and LED scoreboards, and two outdoor courts.

Golden Goose Arena is also configured as a hub dedicated to well-being, enriched by a Wellness Café, an elevated panoramic lounge, and a Store, designed to complete the sporting experience with moments of sociality and relaxation in line with the values of the Golden Goose brand.
