Plantex® is now the only line on the market specifically designed for the world of landscaping, and it includes polypropylene mulching sheets suitable for specific needs, the result of studies that DuPont^TM constantly carries out to verify their resistance to even the most invasive weeds.

Plantex® Premium and Plantex® Pro are polypropylene mulching sheets designed to fight pests efficiently, durably and sustainably. Thanks to their special structure, created by a unique production technology, they allow air, water and nutrients to pass through. They thus allow plant roots to breathe and grow healthily and help preserve soil balance, while keeping underground and effectively fighting common weeds such as dandelions.

DuPont^TM‘s Plantex® Premium and Plantex® Pro are particularly suitable for use with cover materials such as gravel or mulch; they are UV-resistant and last at least 20 years when properly laid and covered with at least 2 inches of material.

Another essential advantage with Plantex® Premium and Plantex® Pro-as with the other sheets in the line-is the opportunity to avoid the need for plant protection to control weeds. Finally, they are chemically inert and remain stable in all types of soils.

For even more demanding needs, where weeds such as crabgrass or horsetail appear particularly invasive, the line offers DuPont^TM‘s Plantex® Gold, an extremely durable weed control sheet.

It offers durable protection against even tenacious weeds, such as crabgrass, horsetail, vilucchium or sylvan girardine, without having to resort to chemicals. This two-tone black/brown TNT is permeable to air, water and nutrients; thus allowing the soil and roots to breathe, while keeping the weeds underground.

When properly covered, Plantex® Gold retains its guaranteed functionality for up to 25 years; Without coverage, it can last up to 3 years depending on the level of UV exposure.

In case it is necessary, along with weed control, to protect the slope from erosion by water or wind, Plantex® Cocomat, a natural-looking black/brown cloth woven from untreated natural coconut fibers, can be adopted to preserve the soil until plant growth is able to take over erosion control. The coconut fibers are stitched together between two polypropylene nets, then heat-bonded to the Plantex® sheet without any risk of destroying the functionality of the anti-infestation barrier.

Complementing the mulching solutions are DuPont^TM‘sPlatinium and Platinium Solar. The Plantex® range also includes solutions for soil stabilization and filtration such as Geoproma and for invasive root control such as RootBarrier and Root Protector.
