Last summer, in the Pineta Sports Centre, the system of football and five-a-side football pitches of the municipal sports centre was completed, now equipped with the latest generation synthetic turf and completed with new irrigation and LED lighting systems.  A vertical drainage system has been created for the two largest fields.
For the construction of the three fields with 11, 7 and 5 players, one of the most advanced solutions has been chosen in many ways: from technical and sporting performance to player safety, durability, management and maintenance.

The yarn used in the mantle is composed of a special monofilament fibre in multiple form: in fact, it has three combined and bound sections, not twisted, with central diamond reinforcement thickening, which guarantees very high resistance, resilience and durability over time as well as a special centrally reinforced double “S” shape.
The particular three-section structure and the special surface knurling, as well as the special polyethylene polymer, guarantee excellent playing comfort. The special polymers of which the fibre is composed significantly reduce the abrasion and refraction coefficients of light as well as ensuring, after treading, a constant return of the fibre to a vertical position, guaranteeing optimal ball rolling during passages and making maintenance easier.

For the 11-a-side football field, the surface has a height of 52 mm and is equipped with an elastic underlay. The 7-player and 5-player pitches have a lower pitch height and no underlay.
The work at the Pineta Sports Centre was completed with the installation of new fences in accordance with standards.
