The work, carried out directly by the Municipal Administration, was aimed at the creation of a new artificial turf rugby court in the secondary field of the Padovani sports facility, which was in very poor condition due to its intensive use.

A new artificial turf rugby pitch was then created in accordance with the requirements of World Rugby Standard 22 and the International Rugby Board’s specification on standards for artificial rugby ground. The ground surface has been replaced with a 60 mm synthetic grass surface with vertical drainage and 8 mm performance underlay. The stabilization pad is made of silica sand and the performance pad is made of vulcanized and coated rubber (SBR).

The cover of the geodetic structure used as a gym in the same sports complex has also been replaced with a new generation double membrane sheet without thermal bridges that guarantees better thermal performance and better comfort inside.
