The project of improving energy efficiency and redevelopment of the municipal swimming pool is part of a wider intervention that also concerned the adjacent school block and the gymnasium.
The operation involved a series of works that led to a significant improvement of the building, both from the point of view of energy saving and plant engineering, with a positive impact also on the aesthetic appearance.

For the swimming pool building, the project intervention involved the replacement of the covering of the mobile roof structure that covers the swimming pools, the windows and doors that are an integral part of it, as well as a part of the maintenance following this replacement. It was then proceeded with an insulated sandwich panel of reduced thickness and surface finish in pre-painted galvanized steel.
From the plant engineering point of view, the existing solar field has been replaced by an extension of the capturing surface, aimed at the production of domestic hot water, and the replacement of the old boiler with a new generation system consisting of a condensing heat generator and methane gas cogenerator, also for the production of electricity.

The intervention of energy requalification and efficiency improvement as a whole has produced an annual reduction of 32% in the consume of electricity and methane gas; moreover, after the intervention, every year 108 tons of CO2 less and 48 tons of oil equivalent less will be released into the atmosphere.
