The swimming pool is part of a building that houses a gymnasium and the caretaker’s quarters on the floor above, which in turn is part of the larger Laives Middle School complex built in the early 1980s.

The intervention consisted in the installation of a stainless steel pool, after demolition and reconstruction of the existing reinforced concrete structure; the complete reconstruction of the water supply and distribution systems, the replacement of the technological systems, the installation of a remote control system to control the temperature and sanitation of the water as well as the internal temperature of the swimming facility, the adaptation of the electrical service systems to current safety standards, and some building maintenance work.
