The largest public facility in the city is being renovated to improve the offer to students. An agreement between the Municipality and the School of Physical Sciences of the University of Milan has made it possible to carry out a first batch of work on the athletics track.
The track, built in the 80s with a prefabricated surface, was extremely deteriorated.

The design choice was therefore to redo all the kerbs and water collection channels, adapt the hedge pit to the new regulations and redo the surface and the pole vault and extension jumps, creating a track suitable for teaching and training with a force reduction coefficient (KA) greater or equal to 0.38. The choice of the surface fell on a 10 mm thick SBR casting and a 3.5 mm thick EPDM finishing layer.

The complete replacement of the pre-existing channels for the collection of surface water, now clogged with material and no longer usable, provided for the installation of new prefabricated elements with slit, in high performance 100% recycled polypropylene, and steel covering coated with KTL anti-rust.
