Italy at FSB Sports Show Riyadh

Until June 18, FSB Sports Show Riyadh, the first Saudi edition of the historic Cologne trade show, is being held at the Riyadh Convention & Exhibition Centre. We’ve collected the expectations of some of the Italian companies participating in the event.

The first edition of FSB Sports Show Riyadh, organized by Koelnmesse in cooperation with dmg events and scheduled until June 18th at the Riyadh Convention & Exhibition Centre, Saudi Arabia, has begun.

The Riyadh edition carries the same “DNA” as the historic trade fair event FSB Cologne adapted, however, to the unique needs of the Saudi Kingdom, “showcasing cutting-edge solutions in sports and leisure infrastructure and fostering industry dialogue” here as well, as Director Ina Karschöldgen said in this interview.

Although very tightly timed – FSB Sports Show Riyadh was announced in November 2024, just 8 months before the event – many Italian companies decided to participate in this first edition, to be present in a booming market with a significant innovation footprint.

For those already present in the Saudi market, participation in this exhibition event represents “an additional opportunity to make themselves known to stakeholders involved in Vision 2030 projects,” as said from Omsi. It’s an additional communication and marketing tool, leveraging on features of know-how, reliability and quality of its products and services.

The Middle East area is also of growing relevance for Dalla Riva Sportfloors, which during FSB Sports Show Riyadh works to “forge partnerships that allow to organically consolidate and develop relationships in the markets of the area, starting from the added value of the Italian brand”.

Also of the same opinion is Disano Illuminazione, for which participating in the Saudi fair is an unmissable branding opportunity “to become a strategic partner in the field of sports and infrastructure, offering high quality and high performance products, as well as a prompt delivery service”.

Reinforcing visibility in Middle Eastern markets, exploiting the advantage of Italian companies-particularly corporate excellence that combines long history, experience and passion-is one of the main reasons for joining also for Mondo Sport & Flooring, which develops much of its business in foreign markets. “Being present right away allows us to seize concrete opportunities, intercept new needs and strengthen our international positioning. We expect to open new contacts with institutional and commercial interlocutors, enhancing our expertise“.

For Ceta participating in FSB Sports Show Riyadh fulfills “the objective of attending a competitive market with good potential. We want to follow up on the interesting project proposals we have already received, and this fair will be a good opportunity to meet strategic interlocutors“.

Expanding prospects, getting to know new markets and opening up more to foreign countries is Gammasport‘s goal: “we are looking for new distributors to increase the foreign share of our business, proposing as always that high level of care and customization service that distinguishes us”.

For those who, like Codex, wish to expand part of their business abroad, being at FSB Sports Show Riyadh is the fruit of a conscious strategy: “We want to be present where the infrastructure of the future is being built, where sports, leisure, schools and the quality of public space become levers of social and economic development”.

Participating since the first edition of the trade fair event in Riyadh is a distinctive and competitive factor that can help Italian companies position themselves as valuable references in international relations.
