After the Qatar edition, which took place between November and December 2022, the tournament returns to the summer season.
The three host countries did not need to build new stadiums, unlike in 2022, which saw a wide array of modern architecture; some facilities took the opportunity to carry out improvements, including the Azteca in Mexico City, the AT&T in Dallas and the BMO Field in Toronto.

The Canadian stadium, in particular, must triple its seating capacity to meet FIFA’s minimum requirements for the World Cup: from 40,000 for group matches to 60,000 for the quarter-finals and 80,000 for the finals and opening ceremonies.
The opening match will be held at the Azteca in Mexico City, and the final at MetLife Stadium in New York.
