The new municipal bowling hall was inaugurated last March. The project was supervised by the Municipality’s Public Works department together with external professionals and cost over 1.7 million euro. It is a structure consisting of two buildings with playing tracks, on one floor, with four regulation courts, a service and changing area, a catering area and a game and billiard room.

The facility, of national importance, is divided into four tracks that can be remodelled: by covering the surfaces, they can be used for other disciplines.
The bowling greens were finished with a compact, waterproof, single-component, elastomeric, solvent-free synthetic covering, cold-formed by pouring on site in successive applications of water-based acrylic resins, followed by signage on the lanes with water-based enamel paint and sandblasting.

One of the special features of the sports facility is the low environmental impact guaranteed by a thermo-mechanical system that maximises thermal comfort: winter and summer air conditioning are guaranteed by heat pump generation systems combined with solar thermal. In addition, a photovoltaic system installed on the flat roof will provide almost half of the energy needed for the electrical consumers.
