The evolution of the heating world towards high-efficiency and condensing products has led to the development of the AKN series boilers by Apen Group.

The AKN system consists of an outdoor condensing boiler that can be combined with indoor fan heaters.

The project was conceived and realised with the aim of obtaining a product of the highest quality in terms of technology, design and ecology.

The AKN boilers, available in 5 models from 32 kW to 100 kW, combined with the AB and AX series unit heaters, are the ideal solution for heating all environments that are part of fire-risk activities such as workshops, body shops, carpentry shops, printing works, textile and paper industries, public and commercial premises.

The AKN system by Apen Group does not require special technical rooms for positioning. In fact, in addition to the room or technical room, the boilers (IPX5D protection) can be installed outdoors, avoiding the use of ‘operating’ space within the room itself.

Furthermore, it does not require fire prevention practice even in installations where the sum of the power of the installed appliances exceeds 116 kW.

The particular conformation of the hydraulic circuit of the boiler and unit heaters allows multiple types of installation, both in terms of height and distance, between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit.

The positioning of the pipe outlet for connection to the fan heater at the bottom of the boiler ensures the installation of the external boiler at an accessible height, both in terms of location and maintenance, and the positioning of the unit heater at the correct height for the room to be heated.

The short connection path between the external boiler and the fan heater provides immediate benefits due to low pressure drops and high water flow rates on the coil.

The modern design and the quality of the components used guarantee the customer an excellent investment over time on a product that fully complies with the new European Community Ecodesign regulations.

High combustion efficiencies (up to 108%) guarantee significant fuel savings compared to traditional non-condensing systems.

The AKN series boilers are in Class A for energy efficiency and with a premixed burner in Class NOx 6.

With Apen Group’s AKN system, in case of replacement of the heating system, it is possible to access the tax deduction on the purchase price of the products and the realization of the system, including disposal of the existing one.

The tax deduction is only possible in combination with an ‘evolved’ thermoregulation system in Class V° or higher, such as the SMART Touch Screen controls that manage and optimize the operation of single or group units.

The Apen Group remote control of the new Smart X series performs the function of a stand-alone chronothermostat and can be used in a system that controls a zone in which one to a maximum of 15 machines can be installed simultaneously.

The simplicity of connection, the clear and intuitive management menu and the possibility of reading up to 4 temperature points within the controlled zone make these chronothermostats versatile and suitable for different requirements and types of system.

Through connection to an intranet network, complete remote management of the plant can be carried out via a browser on a computer or via https://.

The electronics developed are also of great help to maintenance services as they report the operating history and the most important parameters.
