As part of the extraordinary maintenance work on the sports field of Marco, a hamlet of Rovereto, which also includes the renovation of the changing rooms and lighting, the municipal administration considered it appropriate to add an athletics track, so as to expand the possibilities of use of the sports facility.

The facility consists of a three-lane straight, flanked by a platform for long jump.
The surface of the track is in Berlin Blue Regupol®, with the surrounding areas in Light Grey.
The actual sports flooring is basically made up of three layers.

A first layer of prefabricated sheet support of constant thickness, consisting of selected SBR rubber fibres and granules, mixed and joined with a single-component polyurethane binder, with a thickness of 10 mm, which are glued to the bituminous substrate using a two-component polyurethane adhesive.

A second surface layer is applied by smoothing the prefabricated mat with a two-component polyurethane skimmer, and then a continuous nail-resistant polyurethane coating is applied in the liquid state, consisting of several layers of self-levelling polyurethane.
Finally, the surface finish is carried out by manually sowing coloured EPDM rubber granules.
