The appearance of the comet in the Middle Ages was interpreted as an omen of doom and pestilence. Comet Neowise appeared in the skies during the last month of July, between the first and second waves of the covid-19 pandemic (although few have seen it with the naked eye, many have photographed it with good telephoto lenses and long exposures).
Superstitions aside, the year that is coming to a close has created quite a few difficulties for the entire sports sector, given that in the plans to limit the possibility of contagion, sports venues have been identified (rightly or wrongly) as among the most risky, and the activities that take place there among those (more rightly than wrongly) less important.
Many of us have never stopped, but today – taking up the challenge that we launched from these pages two months ago – we are preparing for a new beginning. For our part – we have taken on the task of keeping the world of sports facilities up to date by maintaining constant mutual information between operators, designers, companies – in addition to planning an implementation of the synergy between our media (the magazine Tsport, the portal sport&impianti, newsletters, social networks) we have started a plan of online meetings for in-depth analysis.
If the pandemic has canceled the conference in presence that we had organized for last March, throughout 2021 we will meet the protagonists of the world of sports facilities through a series of webinars on the topics covered in the magazine: you can find a preview of the program on the next page.
This will be our way of supporting managers, designers and companies in the effort that we are all called upon to make to overcome the obstacles that an unpredictable and global event has put in the path of growth and development.
After all, at the end of the year, the Comet is also the one that marks the way forward.
